AUI Power had preschool visitors yesterday and everyone was so well-behaved during the visit. They listened to their team leaders, politely said "Hello!" and "Thank you!", stood where they were asked... and that's just our employees. The kids were pretty good too!

This emergency response is a result of the weekend tornado that passed north of Bridgeville, MD. AUI replaced numerous damaged transmission structures, restored service to one circuit - and should have the 2nd transmission circuit restored later today!

AUI Power's transmission crews are out on a 10-mile, dual-circuit rebuild - where we are setting new steel monopoles to replace the existing wood structures. Extensive matting on this project helped our trucks get from structure to structure through some pretty rugged wetlands.

AUI Power dispatched crews to assist in a rescue of two individuals from an airplane that crashed into a Pepco transmission structure. The plane had to be secured and bonded to the structure to ensure that the rescue operation was safe. (More details/pictures coming soon)

Early Explorers Pre-School came by the shop today and we brought them on a tour around our facilities. It was a great visit, especially since we have a few of their dads working here!
