AUSSOM Deputy Special Representative of the Chairperson of the @_AfricanUnion Commission (DSRCC), Mouktar Osman Kaire, yesterday visited #AUSSOM personnel receiving medical treatment at various hospitals in Nairobi, Kenya. He conveyed heartfelt wishes for their speedy recovery and reaffirmed AUSSOM's unwavering commitment to the welfare, dignity and well-being of its uniformed and civilian personnel.
During the visits, Mr. Kaire thanked the medical teams for their dedicated care and encouraged the recovering personnel to remain strong and focused as they continue their treatment. He emphasized that AUSSOM stands firmly with its personnel and remains committed to providing the support they need throughout their recovery.
Today, AUSSOM Sector 5 Commander, Brig. Gen. Michel Ndenzako, received the Somali National Armed Forces 3rd Brigade Commander in Middle Shabelle, Brig. Gen. Saney Abdulle, during a courtesy visit to the Sector HQs at Jowhar Airfield.
Brig. Gen. Ndenzako briefed the delegation on the security situation and commended @SNAForce for its strong partnership and joint operations with #AUSSOM against Al-Shabaab. Brig. Gen. Abdulle thanked the Burundian contingent for its professionalism, dedication, and sacrifices, acknowledging #AUSSOM's contribution to strengthening the @SNAForce's operational capacity.
The two commanders pledged to strengthen cooperation through intelligence sharing, coordinated patrols, and joint operations to enhance security and protect civilians. #AUSSOM Sector 2 enhanced partnerships with the Somalia Security Forces (#SSF) and the local community through Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities in Afmadhow, Jubaland State. Led by Maj. D. M. Anangwe, @kdfinfo troops hosted #SSF for a friendly football match at the Afmadhow Main Operating Base. The game strengthened teamwork, mutual trust and professional ties.
In a separate outreach activity, #AUSSOM personnel donated assorted stationery to pupils at Dhobale Primary School. The headteacher, Mr. Abdullahi Sa'ad Maamule, briefed the troops on the school's programmes, facilities and challenges before leading a tour. Local leaders thanked #AUSSOM for its continued support, noting that its outreach and mentorship initiatives have improved learners' welfare and educational opportunities while promoting #peace and community development. #AUSSOMInTheSectors

I commended President Mohamud's leadership against Al-Shabaab and the significant gains made by Somali forces, and welcomed his efforts to advance inclusive dialogue ahead of the upcoming presidential elections—a landmark moment for Somalia's democracy.
We also discussed the financing challenges facing AUSSOM and the importance of finding sustainable, predictable and shared solutions.
I assured the President of the AUC's steadfast partnership in delivering programs on Agenda 2063, including through AUSSOM, and our readiness to accompany Somalia as it prepares for the forthcoming elections.

AUSSOM and the Somali National Armed Forces (@SNAForce) on Friday conducted a joint security operation in Afgooye District, enabling Ayuub NGO to safely distribute more than 81.9 tonnes of sorghum, cowpea, mung bean, and maize seeds to vulnerable households in Sabid Anoole, Muri, Lantabur, and Kahando villages.
Battle Group 46 Commander Col. Saul Nabimanya commended the initiative and urged more humanitarian organisations to support communities across Somalia. Afgooye District Production Officer Hassan Abuukar Hassan said the seed distribution would boost agricultural recovery, strengthen livelihoods, and help families affected by Al-Shabaab and recent flooding, highlighting #AUSSOM and @SNAForce's commitment to securing humanitarian access and lasting stability. #AUSSOMInTheSectors
