I was delighted to meet this afternoon with H.E. Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the State House in Abuja.

I expressed my appreciation to H.E. for his patronage of the launch of the Muslim World League’s initiative for social peace in West Africa, as well as his full support for its historic outcome, the adoption of the “Abuja Declaration.”

The Declaration included a plan for joint action among government institutions, solidarity between Muslim and Christian religious leaders, and civil society organizations, as well as the establishment of a coordinating body for religious and civic leaders and institutions in West Africa to follow up on the implementation of the commitments under the aforementioned action plan.

Dear @realDonaldTrump,

@davido's party and the current Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who is a governorship candidate in this election, are violent and disruptive. In their desperation to scare away votes and rig the election for Accord/Adeleke, they've been perpetrating violence and killings against the supporters of their major opponents in the election.

The only reason why @davido and others are grandstanding and scaremongering is because security agencies have been up and doing especially at in concerns arresting and prosecuting thugs who are under the payrol of the Governor's party, Accord therein.

They are agitated and dampened because Nigeria's electoral commission (INEC) and Nigeria's security agencies, the Commissioner of Police in Osun State particularly, are not ready to dance to the whims and caprices of the Accord party - they are not willing to help them rig election.

I want to assure you that he's clearly misrepresenting facts and should be ignored.
