@HotspurLane Might be strange to say, but I think already securing Champions league instead of embarrassing the club by neglecting the league and finishing 17th is better too
Donyell Malen joining Roma on loan from Aston Villa has arguably been the best January signing since Fiorentina borrowed Mohamed Salah from Chelsea a little over a decade ago.
He is a late contender for Serie A MVP and has a slim chance of being Capocannoniere (Serie A’s top scorer) despite being in the league for less than four months.
For context, no one has been as prolific as Malen in the history of midwinter transfers: not even Mario Balotelli when he left Manchester City for Milan in 2013.

@AVFCOfficial Get rid of this, it’s absolute slop that none of us want representing our club. It’s beyond shocking that you would think any of us would want this.
@VillaViews_ We need one or two improvements in that forward line imo. Ramsey needs upgrading and it’s a risk to rely so much on Malen even though I’m confident he will come good this season.
Also it's time to admit the elite 6 is a closed shop, clubs like us and Villa may have one or 2 decent seasons but it isn't sustainable to challenge them long term, Chelsea have spent £2bn and aren't stopping, PSR has ensured the elite will never be challenged again
@S_AVFC41 This makes no sense whatsoever. Who wins the cups doesn’t equal how difficult it would’ve been to win them, Newcastle and palace have just happened to have great seasons
In 5 years we’ve gone from relegation battle to European football 3 seasons in a row. Screw your head back on
