@AliceFromQueens@GDess@RDPWrites Yep. I don’t think people realize the cognitive demands of modern combat. Infantryman have to simultaneously operate radios, night vision, multiple types of aiming sights for multiple weapons systems, treat casualties, etc. Hard to do dummies.
Tim McCarver: “I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the plate where I belonged, and that the only thing I knew about pitching was that I couldn’t hit it.”
@WhityRemarks I have no issue with “bullets flying everywhere”, normal coach speak. Will predict that we don’t rack up a ton of sacks and disruption despite the bravado because players > scheme and I don’t see a roster full of wrecking ball players. Will be a reset season for sure.
@WhityRemarks D wasn’t really that bad, roughly 50th by advanced metrics last two years. Played much better down stretch as we played weaker offense (see above that players > scheme).
@jaycaspiankang 7/10 on my first try. the AI ones seem to be easy to pick up early. the real ones i'm not as sure about. maybe i just had a good day guessing.
@mikenelson586 Problem with the analysis is you can twist definitions to support whatever conclusion you want to make.
When is a conflict over? is a great question.
Good reminder:
“just as the nature of war has not changed, neither has the nature of leadership and command. Wars are still won and lost by small units led by imperfect human beings making decisions under pressure.” https://t.co/C5sG5yRZFk
