I don’t care what Bhansali created as a story.
But I don’t think that any of us have the right in 2026 to judge the choice of Jauhar in 14-15th century. The women had every right to save themselves from molestation, exploitation and sexual slavery. And if you think that they over reacted, you need to read more about what happened to Yazidi women in 21st century.. with the entire world watching. Or so many other conflict regions.. women and children were always at receiving end. Remember what happened to Bangladeshi women in 1971?
So don’t tell that their reaction 6-700 years ago was cowardice. It was a helpless no choice situation to somehow evade a life of misery. It must have taken huge amount of COURAGE to take that step and not the other way she is suggesting.
