Guess what. I invested 7 months of watching hockey during that regular season. I saw more wins then ever before. I watched my team score the most goals and give up the fewest. I watched them statistically have their greatest season in 30 years.
I spent nearly 250 hours of my time tuned in watching and celebrating night after night after night. Do things sucks right now ? Sure! But that doesn't mean it wasn't an extremely enjoyable season to watch up until 8 days ago.
They made the final 4. They out lasted 28 other teams. They won a division and a presidents trophy. They swept the kings. They nearly swept their bitter division rival.
I refuse to see it as failure. Just not how I'll quantify it. Winning the cup takes more than just being the best team. Takes a ton of luck and it just wasn't on our side. Still was a helluva season to watch.
you’re fundamentally misunderstanding the controversy here, while invoking a controversy that should have made it obvious. “race swap” wasn’t even a conversation in the 90s. then race-obsessed leftoids made it a one-way issue in the 20-teens via movies like ghost in the shell, and took over hollywood. that leftist race obsession hasn’t ended. white people are still policed out of film and television constantly, often in the name of historical accuracy.
the reaction you’re witnessing here isn’t about the race of an actress. it’s about hypocrisy. one class of roles is meant for people of the proper skin color, while another (white historical figures or former white characters, and yes, obviously this includes european myth lmao) is meant for everyone. the dynamic is clearly racist. I think the shonda rhimes colorblind model is best, but reactions like this will continue until our cultural institutions actually listen and disband with the anti-white dogma.
Everyone’s complaining about the fact that this Animal Farm movie undercuts Orwell’s critique of communism, which is true. But, message aside, I think it’s just as bad that they’ve taken a serious and intelligent story and turned it into a goofy slapstick farce complete with fart jokes. It’s like making a Crime and Punishment adaptation and turning it into a romantic comedy. No respect for the source material at all. A cynical cash grab. If you want to make a dumb movie about farm animals, make your dumb movie about farm animals. Positioning it as an adaptation, while making no attempt to capture either the tone or meaning of the author’s original work, is an insult.
The things I have learned about AI recently have left me shocked.
Suffice it to say there is an agenda in which you will own nothing and you will "be happy"
A tsunami is coming
Many technocrats view this as a good thing, a technology shift to free the minds of humans.
However the shift will leave millions without meaningful ways to engage the economy and a short term political-economic solution that will not work
In the minds of those working in this system it *will* work in that after several years the system will realign to a new economy.
The tsunami is coming and only some have prepared a boat to weather this economic storm.
After the flood clears there will be many dead and destitute, but a new world will emerge.
This AI tech is already here.
The only reason its not public is because technocrats are trying to ease the stress on the system
My biggest conspiracy theory is after this concert every sovereign nation on the planet simultaneously recognized how easily they could be overthrown so they made everything gay and retarded and full of third worlders
