Hycamite now joins KBR + Hazer in the technology evaluation.
MESH is starting to look like an integrated ENERGY + STORAGE + HYDROGEN + CRITICAL MINERALS infrastructure platform 💥
And there could be another layer…
🌾 EPP is evaluating hydrogen + nitrogen → AMMONIA for the global fertiliser market. This is HUGE
One project. Multiple potential revenue streams.
20p will look cheep in few weeks let alone 8p
Big big re-rate will take place here

Interesting change in the #EPP RNS for those that read to the bottom
Hydrogen\Graphite production brought forward by two years to 2029-30
I wonder if other aspects of the project will also be brought forward?
Also with government grants being applied for and near-term IP licensing and royalties revenue due as per yesterday’s patent announcement, the wait for revenue generation is no longer a concern.
Things are gathering pace!
“The MESH Long Duration Energy Storage project, designated as a project of national significance by the UK Government, combines compressed air energy storage with gas-to-hydrogen storage. It is set to become the UK's largest LDES project at 300MW / 55 GWh / 100+ hours and aims to enter operation from hydrogen production perspective in 2029-2030, subject to government policy development, approvals and financing.”

@Belcourtoi@conradcarter66 One day soon it’s going to pop and never come back and everyone will know why.
You’ve had plenty of time to load up so no excuses #EPP
🚨 #EPP THIS IS BIG!!!
EnergyPathways has brought in Jacobs, a global Tier-1 engineering heavyweight, to help take MESH through planning, regulatory approvals, grid connection and the Ofgem Cap & Floor process.
300MW / 55GWh / 100+ hours of storage.
The next HUGE catalyst?
👉 MESH eligibility for the Cap & Floor scheme.
Once that lands, the risk profile changes dramatically ⬆️

🇬🇧⚡ ENERGYPATHWAYS #EPP, THE BIGGER PICTURE IS LDES
The UK is undergoing one of the biggest transformations of its electricity system in generations.
But there is a fundamental problem that needs solving:
Britain doesn’t just need more renewable electricit, it needs somewhere to STORE it. 🔋
And that is where Long Duration Electricity Storage (LDES) becomes critical.
🇬🇧 The UK Government’s Clean Power 2030 strategy calls for:
🔋 4–6GW of LDES by 2030
Yet Britain currently has only around:
⚡ 2.8GW / 23.9GWh of operational LDES
And looking further ahead, NESO’s pathway points towards approximately:
🚀 16.5GW of LDES by 2050
This isn’t a niche requirement.
LDES is becoming critical national energy infrastructure.
🌬️ WHY DOES BRITAIN NEED IT?
The UK is building enormous amounts of offshore wind and other renewable generation.
But renewable electricity production doesn’t always coincide with demand.
When wind generation is exceptionally strong, Britain can produce more electricity than the system can efficiently absorb.
That can mean:
❌ Grid constraints
❌ Wind curtailment
❌ Generators being paid to reduce output
❌ Valuable clean energy effectively being wasted
Then, at other times, Britain experiences the opposite problem:
🌬️ Low wind
📈 High demand
⚡ Insufficient renewable generation
LDES helps bridge that gap.
GENERATE → STORE → DISPATCH
🌬️➡️⚡➡️🔋➡️⚡➡️🏠
Instead of wasting surplus renewable electricity, store it when it is abundant and release it when Britain actually needs it.
🔋 THIS IS WHERE MESH GETS VERY INTERESTING
EnergyPathways isn’t proposing another conventional short-duration battery.
MESH is designed around large-scale underground energy storage, including compressed-air energy storage using salt caverns beneath the East Irish Sea.
The ambition is multi-day storage.
That distinction matters enormously.
A future electricity system dominated by renewables doesn’t only need storage capable of shifting electricity by a few hours.
Britain increasingly needs infrastructure capable of dealing with:
🌬️ Multi-day fluctuations in wind generation
⚡ Extended periods of high electricity demand
🔋 Huge volumes of surplus renewable electricity
📉 Grid constraints and curtailment
🛡️ Security of supply
That is the territory MESH is targeting.
🇪🇺 AND LOOK AT THE POTENTIAL SCALE
At its proposed scale, MESH has the potential to become one of the largest LDES developments in the UK and Europe.
This isn’t simply about building a storage facility.
It is potentially about creating a strategic energy storage hub capable of storing enormous quantities of energy beneath the Irish Sea.
Think about the scale of the opportunity.
Britain currently has just 23.9GWh of operational LDES.
MESH’s proposed multi-day CAES development alone demonstrates why geological storage could operate in an entirely different league from conventional battery storage.
🏛️ THE GOVERNMENT NOW RECOGNISES THE NEED
This is perhaps the most important part of the #EPP story.
The Government’s July 2026 Clean Flexibility Roadmap says grid-scale storage and LDES play a:
“critical role in balancing the power system”
as electricity demand rises and supply becomes increasingly intermittent.
And in June 2026 Ofgem announced its minded-to position supporting:
⚡ 7.6GW
🔋 137GWh
🏗️ 16 LDES projects
through the first Cap & Floor window.
And importantly…
Compressed Air Energy Storage is included. 💥
CAES therefore isn’t simply a theoretical technology sitting outside UK energy policy.
It is represented within Britain’s emerging LDES infrastructure programme.
