When it comes to recovery, there's a lot of junk that doesn't work. We reach for a super supplement, instead of what actually works:
1. Sleep ~8 hours
2. Hydrate adequately
3. Socialize with friends
4. Have a way to decompress
5. Eat enough real food
6. Slow/easy exercise
Decided not to study much for an exam, or skip out on practice before a big game?
Under preparation is a coping strategy for stress. It allows you to protect your ego because you didn't 'try.'
Actually putting forth effort, requires being okay confronting your limits.
