@tiredxwitch It's insta bots when someone pays to "organically grow their account with genuine followers" the bots then follow unfollow accounts to get you to look at their account and go "Oh I'll follow them back" god knows who thought that would work but people actually pay for that service

Been a rough few days (weeks) sorry I've been so quiet! But on the upside my new skincare regime is doing it and here are some selfies as I literally barely post any. Also my greys are coming in nicely.

@DurgadasADuriel Hard agree. I've met quite a few Tarot readers who blanket ignore any of the more constructive and call out messages completely. It won't let me quote tweet but 100% agree with this thread!

The elderly lady I take care of is the sweetest. I went for a walk with a female friend the other day and now she's got it in her head that I'm "courting" and every time I've seen her since she's asked how my courting is going and it's the most precious and pure thing.

@DurgadasADuriel @esotericegirl I really dislike when people ask me questions on like stories or DMs in a really strange way which makes it quite clear they're asking it to use it as leverage / evidence to tear down someone else. Like "Ha I asked this person and THEY agreed with me. Take that Fred!" Not cool.

@esotericegirl I think closed can be an important description but I like the other words a lot as a combo. I'm not part of any closed practices so I'm not the authority of how they're to be described! There's definitely a huge gap in the research here from those spouting closed recently.

@esotericegirl I think it's worth being repeated everywhere. Also there's a disconnect with saying something is closed but actually taking the time to understand WHY it's closed. That's a harmful rhetoric and leads to things that are actually closed being ignored rather than respected.

@esotericegirl I just saw a Tik Tok where someone was asked if being a "Green Witch" was a closed practice and the person making the Tik Tok said exactly that. Honestly shocking.

@LadyAlthaea I keep seeing vids and posts like "If you disagree that's your ✨shadow work✨" etc. I think that's fast becoming the new "Love and light" to be honest!

@MharaStarling 2/ I read a couple of intro books a year to see what's best to recommend and some are fairly sparse so there are definitely accounts where you could easily portray the entirety of that practice. So I think it's easy to assume that every account works the same way. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@MharaStarling With you on this I've had to speak about it a couple times. No dig intended but I think some of it comes from fact that a lot of the simplistic intro books on modern witchcraft could quite easily be presented as whole online, so I think it's easy to get confused looking at that.

I have so many thoughts on this! Especially trying to put myself in the position of a younger person or newer person to the craft/occult. This thread from @jack_of_wands is a brilliant read regarding misinformation online and the occult. Have a read!
