The Directorate of Human Resource Management has successfully concluded a 3-day workshop on HR Management and Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) implementation for Regional HR Officers, Administrators, and Staff Officers.
Dr. @AWunyi, the Undersecretary, Uganda Police Force, led an engaging session on customer care, emphasizing professionalism, responsiveness, and the need to build trust through service excellence.
As Undersecretary of the Uganda Police Force, I engaged Regional Human Resource Officers, Administrators, and Staff Officers at Police Headquarters during the conclusion of the three day workshop on Human Resource Management and Human Resource Management Information System implementation. I emphasized customer care, professionalism, and responsiveness as key to building trust through service excellence.
To enhance efficiency in modern policing, Uganda Police Force commanders have been equipped with transport to respond better to contemporary security needs.
Piaggio Aerospace welcomed Dr. Aggrey Wunyi, Undersecretary of the Uganda Police Force, together with members of the Uganda Police Air Wing, to its facility in Villanova dโAlbenga. The Uganda Police Air Wing operates the P.180 Avanti in support of its aviation operations. Piaggio Aerospace thanks the delegation for its visit.
During our visit to Leonardo S.p.A. and Piaggio Aerospace in Italy , AIGP Mwesigwa, the Airwing Technical Officers and I explored advanced helicopter technology that will strengthen the Uganda Police Forceโs surveillance, rapid response, medical evacuation, traffic management and AFCON security preparedness under the Strategic Policing Plan, truly elevating modern policing.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police @JamesOcaya has today opened a one-day training workshop for contract managers on contract management and performance at Police Headquarters in Naguru.
Addressing the officers, the DIGP emphasized that effective contract management minimizes risks, maximizes opportunities, and fosters successful partnerships, ensuring timely delivery of supplies and services. Well-prepared contracts outline specific terms, conditions, and expectations, forming the backbone of business transactions.
The Uganda Police's Undersecretary, @AWunyi, noted that contract management is key to implementing the UPF-approved budget, especially with respect to capital development and acquisition of tools for performance/effective policing as we near the 2026 general elections.
The training of contract managers is intended to improve officers' skills in ensuring contracts adhere to the right quality, quantity, cost, and time.
