@caytlyn_brooke A strong beginning to capture a reader's attention (since retailers provide peeks at initial chapters). The ending need not be spectacular as much as satisfying. I stopped reading Stephen King b/c of so many bad endings, but refuse to trudge through a poor start to a book.
