Everyone seems shocked that Barca are paying more for Gordon than what Rashford would cost, but presumably a big part of that is wages?

Overall figure would ideally include that over x years to give a better comparison.

Gordon is 3 years younger too.

And like it or hate it, a lot of football is off the ball stuff these days, and Gordon is better at it.

Gordon could well end up starting ahead of Rashford for England too, wouldn’t be a shock.

Whether the actual fee is worth it for Gordon 🤷‍♂️ we’ll see in a couple of seasons, I think he’s fine and money in football is weird these days.

All in all, it’s not *that* bad, the first choice XI most people would agree on is all there outside of Hall perhaps.

We all have opinions, but at some point you’ve got to trust the Champions League winning manager.

The idea that “this is why we never win anything” because we haven’t taken the likes of Gibbs-White, Maguire, and Wharton is just a bit silly imo.

My favourite take is Gibbs-White not being in because he doesn’t play for a big 6 club, when Anderson is literally there 😁

I’d have swapped Hall for Spence, Maguire for Burn, and Wharton for Henderson, but at the end of the day, there’s a good reason I’m not England manager.

Bowen can also count himself extremely unlucky to not be in ahead of Madueke, but either way Saka is first choice, and presumably Madueke taken for a slightly different profile to Bowen.

I’m sure there’s a ton of stuff that goes on behind the scenes that affects these decisions too that we never hear about and the manager can’t come out and say.
