The mistake I used to make with AI animation:
I would try to generate the whole scene first.
Bad idea.
Today I treated it like a real production.
First, I made the character sheets.
Then the location plate.
Then the insect references.
Then a 6-panel storyboard.
The chamber is this way…
I’m building a short for AZA: Arise, O Sleeper — a mythic animated world set in the last days before the Flood.
Come step into the world here:

I’m building AZA with AI — an original animated world set in an ancient pre-flood age.
But while building it, I ran into a very real production problem:
AI costs add up fast.
Every render.
Every retry.
Every prompt.

I’m building AZA with AI.
But AI production costs add up fast:
renders
retries
prompts
shot costs
variations
video tests
So I built GenSpend Meter.
AZA = the world
GenSpend Meter = the tool tracking the cost of building it

Tested the GenSpend Meter proof of concept today.
Set a budget.
Generated images in Flashboards.
Watched the meter fill from green to red.
Logged each render, prompt, shot, and cost.
Exported everything to CSV.
It worked.
I officially have a working MVP for tracking AI gen.
Sable is a teenage Nephilim girl in the world of AZA. She has spent her life feeling too tall, too strong, too strange, and too impossible to ignore. Then one day, in a crowded marketplace, she finds an ancient royal garment. When she puts it on, everything changes.

AZA — Building a World in Public
I’m building AZA, an animated world, one shot at a time. The shots are rough, the system is still growing, and that’s the point.

The Donkey Saw It First | AZA
Nothing was wrong at first.
Aza was quiet.
Kai was eating.
The donkey was just drinking from the river.
Then the water moved the wrong way.
