A little light paleontological reading for your weekend. โIt took me a few minutes to realize the obvious, I had just exposed the oldest chelicera ever found.โ Claws, pinchers, grabby parts, whatever you want to call them, they are an amazing adaptation and according to this article, much older than previously expected.

Today, we pause to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. We are grateful for their sacrifice, and for the families and loved ones who continue to carry the weight of that loss. Because of them, we can experience many of the freedoms and everyday moments we can too easily take for granted. We are grateful.
AZMNH is regularly closed on Mondays. In observance of Memorial Day, museum staff will also have the day off.
AZMNH was recently featured in The Mesa Tribune as part of a larger conversation about the museumโs future. Weโre grateful to be part of these community discussions and excited to keep serving as Mesaโs hub of discovery.

However, we know that not everyone can make it and some people who are interested live out of state. We're excited to make these available to everyone!

A little light paleontological reading for your weekend. Spikes! Lots and lots of spikes. "its entire skeleton was covered in extraordinary bone spikes measuring up to a metre long." If you were a predator and wanted to eat this dinosaur, how might you go about it?

Hands-on activities are part of the AZMNH experience. We have fossils you can touch, gold panning, puzzles, and Discovery Stations where you can interact one-on-one with our volunteers.
