One thing we shouldn’t let slide in the wake of the presidential election is the duplicity of the CEOs of the country’s most powerful corporations.

After January 6, for example, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Trump needed to be held accountable for inciting a riot. "I think no one is above the law. I mean, that's the great thing about our country, we're a rule of law country. I think everyone that had a part in it needs to be held accountable," Cook said. "I don't think we should let it go."

Last Tuesday, Cook let it go, offering a cheerful public congratulations to Trump.

Congratulations President Trump on your victory! We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.

Similarly, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote after January 6:

The shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor. His decision to use his platform to condone rather than condemn the actions of his supporters at the Capitol building has rightly disturbed people in the US and around the world

In the years that followed, Trump statements about the attack only became more disturbing.

In the course of his 2024 campaign, Trump lionized the January 6 rioters. At an October 2024 campaign event, Trump described the attack on the United States Capitol as “a day of love” and claimed that there was "nothing done wrong at all." He has promised to pardon many of the January 6 rioters on his first day back in the White House, claiming that they are "wrongfully imprisoned."

But, after Trump’s victory, Zuckerberg offered his enthusiastic congratulations, suggested that Trump's election heralded an era of "great opportunities," and expressed his excitement about working with Trump and his administration.

Congratulations to President Trump on a decisive victory. We have great opportunities ahead of us as a country. Looking forward to working with you and your administration.

Does Zuckerberg send this kind of congratulatory message after every election? No. Popular Information found that Zuckerberg offered no congratulatory message at all to Biden after his 2020 victory.

Rudy was a Viking, noted by his peers for his bright ginger hair.

He also had a trick knee which was an uncanny predictor of the weather.

One day, he was looking out at a beautiful sunny day without a cloud in sight. His wife stepped up behind, taking his arm and wrapping it around her shoulder, enjoying the moment.

"Isn't it a lovely day?" she wondered aloud to him.

Rudy, feeling his knee acting up, reluctantly replied, "Actually, I feel there is a storm coming."

So in spite of their being no cloud in sight, they buckled everything down to prepare for the storm. As they were finishing up, the first ominous clouds begin rolling in.

And then the rain hit, dropping 3 inches in 3 hours, nearly causing a flood.

As they lay by hearth, enjoying the warmth of the fire, his wife asks him, "How did you know."

And Rudy just looked at her with a small smile, and said, "Rudolph the Red knows rain, Dear."
