Sorry, Don, I'm not shrieking. I agree not to have an endless war. I don't have a way out, but surrender is not a way out. I look to your Dad, a smart guy, to find a way out. The nuclear program was stopped by the bombing. The regime will use any income to start it again. That's their only policy, their raison d'etat. It may take a while, but $300 billion + in Gulf help (no US dollars) will go a long way to funding it. They are religious fanatics. And, the Agreement does not guarantee a fee-less opening of Hormuz. As Dad said, we may have to bomb again. The part of the "deal" that Vance forgot was that, by trashing Israel in Lebanon, ALL of our allies got terrified that we would abandon them the way we abandoned the Israelis. ALL. Even in Asia. They are not dumb. Vance failed The Apprentice. A way to end this war? I don't have it. Not my job. But this "deal" doesn't work. It will, just maybe, for Dad's presidency. And the Gulf monarchies will become satraps of Iran in the process. You will see. Sorry.

The Iranian regime is composed of religious fanatics. They believe that it is perfectly compatible with their faith to lie to unbelievers and they have no intention of giving in to the US. They do not care about their country being bombed, because their faith is secure. The MOU is meaningless, except as a delaying tactic, and VP Vance made a critical error because he does not understand this. That they get no US money is irrelevant. They get lots of money. And, they will use it to finance their objectives. They intend to destroy both Israel and the USA. Vance has no idea. Delaying tactics are their modus operandi. They even wrote a book about it.

Vance continues to tuckercarlsonify his talk about Israel by failing to understand what he really did, and what Israel's reaction has been. This is either lack of comprehension about foreign policy in general or, worse, self-justification for an agreement that is deeply flawed. We need neither in a President. All of our allies, all of them, are terrified by what Vance did, no matter how he phrases it for the US public.
