Research was with AI but asked 2 different models, but not a securities lawyer…. And I don’t think they should go outside of safe harbor rules, but seems pretty clean to buy 25% ADTV and establish a weekly block trade so they can manage about 1 million a month. Personally I think they should do more, especially if RGO it producing good results, that in my mind could be the unexpected catalyst that will bring lots of new investors when they announce a legit contract with a mid tier miner. Better to get cheap shares sooner than later!
$AABB #AABB@AsiaBroadband LFG! Hopefully the new CEO takes clear advantage of the price discrepancy to the assets and production $AABB is sitting on right now. The last year has been pathetic with the rate of the buyback. After further research there is zero excuse to slow-play this any further given where the company sits, and there is no requirement to stick to the 25% daily trading volume. I was mistaken on that—it has been talked about on many Spaces as an excuse for the slowness of the roughly $12M already spent, but the rules do not work that way.
Rule 10b-18’s safe harbor is voluntary. The ordinary volume condition is 25% of ADTV, but the rule explicitly allows one block purchase per week that can go well beyond that limit (for example a $200k+ trade) while still staying inside the safe harbor, provided it is the only purchase that day and the shares are excluded from future ADTV calculations. The company does not even have to follow the safe harbor at all. Purchases outside it create no presumption of manipulation; the protection is simply lost for that day, and ordinary good-faith buying can still be defended under the general rules. Enforcement solely for exceeding the 25% figure without fraud, insider trading, or controls problems is essentially nonexistent.
With the expanded authorization and shares still at a steep discount, the priority should be executing the buyback aggressively rather than slow-walking it.
Shareholders also deserve clear, ongoing communication about actual share retirement (shares canceled or moved to treasury) so the reduction in outstanding shares and the benefit to remaining holders is transparent and measurable. The tools and the cover are already there. Use them.

That is still over 4 years at current prices which is a joke so agree to disagree on pace and process there….still same team. 100% agree on dividend when they get to 1000 tons and some decent ore, which they should address in Q3 release why it’s been so poor and how the new mine will help, but also why La Paz isn’t producing anything solid.
@Shadow_Cityy@memestocked Why nothing related to the initial $12m buyback though? Got to show the market you are serious with retiring the shares and put a dent in the structure. Happy to see the announcement for $18m, but hopefully by the earnings report they will give clarity on the original $12M
$AABB What about the $12M initial buyback? How many shares were bought and how about actually retiring them! If they retire them
It shows the market they $18M is real and will be used accordingly, at this point it’s another promise that could take 3 years to materialize given the volumes. I would be 100% positive if the PR mentioned the original $12m worth of shares being retired, or at least moved to treasury, but again nothing material to the share structure or open share count here.
You know I’m very critical of management, but that audit requires 2 full years so it seems like 25 and 26 are the likely candidates for for transparency and quality of earnings and I’m ok with that. Still your other points about new leadership are spot on and in a perfect world they would commit to a full audit after 26 end of year financials are released. @AsiaBroadband
$AABB #AABB@AsiaBroadband The tape looks off. Management has the tools and just won’t use them.
@memestocked@AlidareAABB@Shadow_Cityy and others keep posting the same patterns—matched share sizes at fixed fractional offsets, high neutral volume, and wide spreads that don’t look like normal price discovery. Those questions are fair.
The company, meanwhile, has clear options and keeps leaving them on the table. The $12M buyback was more than 98% complete as of June 30, with only ~$200k left. Three months later, still no word on finishing it. With cash in the mid-$40Ms, bullion at ~$48.5M historical cost (higher on market value), and production already at a record ~$9.3M in Q3 (YTD ~$24M, full-year target over $30M), they could finish the buyback tomorrow or start a $2.5M quarterly cash dividend.
That dividend would be roughly a 25% annualized yield on the current ~$36M market cap, paid from operations and existing liquidity without touching the bullion stack or cutting into cash in any meaningful way. It would be a direct signal of earnings power and confidence—something the market has not been given.
They have the balance sheet, the production, and the authorization. They are simply choosing not to use them. Three months of silence on the last $200k, or on any real cash return, is a choice. Bottom line just do something!!!!!
@memestocked Would be nice if gold overtaking USD as top reserve asset actually showed up in the price—esp with central banks buying more than ever. $AABB only approx 7% above 52 week low and more than 25% off 52 week high.
Two things can be true with the latest $AABB production numbers.
Continued growth in reported production revenues is positive to see — Q3 hit ~$9.3M total, and even after backing out a similar non-plant portion as prior quarters, the Etzatlán facility still looks to be running hard at the expanded 600 tpd rate. Sustained throughput is better than shutdowns.
That said, reverse-engineering the plant’s contribution with current metal prices, 90% uptime, and 80% recovery points to very low-grade feed. You’re looking at something in the neighborhood of ~0.7 g/t gold and ~20 g/t silver head grade to get to those revenue figures. I assumed a 70/30 gold/silver mix. That’s bulk stockpile-style material, not high-grade ore. Quality is really atrocious relative to what most people expect from a “gold and silver mine” story.
The forward-looking item worth noting is the new underground mine (La Vencedora) targeted to start feeding the plant in Q4. Higher-grade material from that could change the math if it actually shows up in the numbers. Not to mention the numbers given to folks while on the tour or shown on website. With higher grade ore these numbers could easily double or triple which would make things very interesting quickly!
@Mightyquin9@memestocked Definitely not a good start and while I’m hopeful to see better, the first comm by new CEO and communication team officially in place for 2 plus months is more of the same nonsense and should really cool the jets of many of the perma bulls here.
$AABB I’m going to take a small victory lap here if what @memestocked posted is true. Back on 9/21 I specifically called out CT is more like a COO than CEO. I may not know a lot about mining but I think I have a pretty good feel for management and communication which is what I harp on most about this company! Which to my post last week, the change was communicated poorly if CT is staying on, it means it wasn’t fully abrupt and to not announce better details on new leadership is sad effort and execution like always for this company. We shouldn’t be getting details for this off Yahoo finance and Stock Titan. Hopefully we see better soon with their communication to shareholders!
@ChrisLaCoursie1 Excited for earnings this week and glad to see some of the view time metrics last week. If they can confirm some early agent adoption numbers that could be the news to light the fire.
I do see the bigger picture. That’s why I’m still here. Enough people from Spaces went down and saw an actual plant with real production potential.
What’s wrong with what I called out? A company with nearly a $200M balance sheet abruptly replaced its top two officers and gave shareholders zero information on who these people are. No prior employers, no background, nothing public that ties either of them to the company. They didn’t even commit to a basic follow-up like “we’ll introduce the new team in the next couple of weeks.”
How does anything in today’s release suggest real change is coming? I hope these guys bring something to the table, but right now we don’t know, and the press release was amateur. Pointing that out isn’t whining.
$AABB #AABB@AsiaBroadband named a new CEO and CFO on Oct 2 and told shareholders nothing about them.
Timothy Gomez replaced Cris Torres.
Fernando Ramirez replaced Bernard Velez. The Oct 8 release gives titles, an effective date, and a promise to keep the old plan. No prior employers. No ages. No pay. No equity. No word on whether Torres or Velez stay on the board.
The IR team hired Aug 1 just shipped its first leadership note. The bios are blank. The company site still lists Torres as CEO and Velez as CFO. No OTC disclosure with an officer bio. Both names are common, and nothing public ties either man to AABB outside this release.
Shareholders should be furious. This is a press release, not a scavenger hunt. Stop excusing the incompetence. A name, a title, and a blank page is not professionalism. The simple things are the tell.
Agree, this was probably the most impactful item I took from the $NTRP CEO interview a few weeks ago. If there is mass adoption it will be epic! Hopefully can get an early sign up gauge on the upcoming earnings. I still kind of think the January earnings will be the turning point, but if theY show a lot of initial interest the Fora comparison would be awesome!
That is the frustration, if what they report is accurate they have so many tools to be better, like hire competent lawyers and communications professionals, along with buyback more shares or offer a relatively small dividend. The average GDX div is like 1%, so even a $2.5M quarterly would drive so much attention based on the %….just do something that would show its commitment to shareholder value. It’s crazy to me how people on X aren’t blasting them nonstop about the $12M that should’ve been done and retired by this point.
