I SHALL BE TELLING THIS WITH A SIGH
SOMEWHERE AGES AND AGES HENCE:
TWO ROADS DIVERGED IN A WOOD, AND I —
TOOK THE ONE LESS TRAVELED BY,
AND THAT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
@BekarSebat51443 I did man! As a serious country, a player giving away a jersey is the last and most trivial reason him to be dropped. Even if it were me, it’d do what he did.
Okello was clearly never advised that donating a national team jersey is a serious disciplinary offense in Uganda. If I recall correctly, during the era of Ibrahim Sekagya or Geoffrey Massa, a player was permanently dropped from the national team after giving his match jersey to a fan, and it happened even with Kenyan captain few days back.
Been watching Uganda vs Kenya… 👀🏏
Looks like Uganda have decided to move away from relying on overseas-born (Indian Mercenaries) players and back their own setup. If that’s the direction they’re taking, I can understand the thinking.
Back the locals, build the pipeline! 🇺🇬🏏🔥
