SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL: KEYAMO UNITES STAKEHOLDERS, FACILITATES GREEN ECONOMY

History was made today for Nigeria's aviation industry as the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, kicked off the Consultative Meeting on the Development and Deployment of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Low Carbon Aviation Fuel (LCAF) inside the Lagos Meeting Room of Transcorp Hotel, Abuja.

The event was held to galvanize stakeholders towards developing a common national policy on cleaner aviation fuels, and participants were drawn from agencies under the Ministry of Aviation, Ministry of Water Resources, NNPC Plc, Ministry of Environment, Airline Operators, BUA Group, African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), and the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

In his remark, Keyamo assured Nigerians of his unwavering commitment to stabilizing the aviation industry, reaffirming that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration has placed aviation at the centre of its national economic development.

The Honourable Minister also expressed the belief that the consultative meeting will enhance an enabling environment for renewable, waste-derived fuels that meet global sustainability criteria.

Other speakers at the event included the Director-General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Capt Musa Nuhu, who expressed excitement about the prospects of inter-agency cooperation. He said that the initiative would open up a new green economy, creating massive amounts of jobs for citizens.

Capt Nuhu announced that Nigeria hopes to achieve Netzero carbon emissions by 2050.

Prof. Mansur Matazu, DG of Nigeria Meteorological Agency, NIMET, explained the impact of aviation fuel on climate change while Roland Iyayi of the Airline Operators Association revealed that the UK now produces sustainable aviation fuel from palm fruit.

The stakeholders were full of praise for Keyamo's innovative and revolutionary approach towards building a better aviation industry for Nigeria and pledged their cooperation in forging a common national policy.

In his virtual presentation, ICAO Council President Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu urged the stakeholders to ensure that  resolutions from the meeting do not end in theory, but practical solutions

WHY MARRIED WOMEN CHEAT

As I sit here writing this book, every line depresses me. Every audio makes me sick, and every video terrifies me. I thought I finished writing last year but I wrote in a hurry and my editor advised that I took more time. I am glad I did. The things I experienced in the past year alone, via participant observation, almost trump the prior five years of research.

Many homes are running on autopilot but one-half of the couples never notice on time.

I have heard the most ludicrous excuses and I have heard heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, pitiful stories. I have watched them cry; some of regret and repentance, others for not starting to cheat earlier, or for getting married at all.

I fear that a book will never be able to tell this story appropriately. Only videos and audio can help you to capture the emotions as genuinely as they come.

Maybe this book comes with a flash drive that contains those details. Yes. Maybe.
