Yesterday was a great day for Braves fans so I thought today would be a great time to stop whatever you're doing and enjoy these moments from the 2021 Postseason
Remarkable statistic:
Prior to Western Michigan, college football teams were 110,352 - 0 when leading after the end of regulation, dating back to 1869.
An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.
@PGATOUR@TOURChamp@_SportsBall_ If you have the 16 top players at a course for the weekend, don’t eliminate golfers. If you lose your match and are not making the championship, let’s see golfers play for 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc.
Answer - I don't think LM truly trusts AA to use our prospects and go after anyone aside from a veteran, DeGrom. Logan Webb would have been nice too. Once DeGrom said no, we're sticking with what we have and stitching together a pitching staff to win in the playoffs
Years ago, AA presented a plan to LM. Buy out arbitration years with team-friendly contracts. Risky but rewarding if you hit on the right guys
Albies, Acuña, MH2, totally nailed it
Strider and Riley, not looking so hot
Add in Murphy + Profar. ~70m/yr in not so great contracts
The question worth asking - Does AA's track record warrant LM giving him the latitude to deplete our farm system on outside talent rentals he/his team evaluated? 2021 was perfect but I also agree AA is not the best evaluator of talent outside the organization
