@omegasmash1@YasuWindwaker I mean I get what you're saying, but which of the things you said make the route "necessary"? You can progress without it, so unless that changes it is by definition optional.
@MagmaSlasher@BetrayalsStage Also just checked your bio, and yeah your entire vibe makes sense knowing you're a teenager. I could have pulled off similar levels of disaffected dickhead levels at that age.
@MagmaSlasher@BetrayalsStage Brother if it ends up disturbing me, fine, but sometimes thats not the game experience that i want going in. I've played disco elysium, and engaged with the depressing themes therein, but i went into that with that in mind. But youve degenerated to soyjacks, so peace be with you.
@MagmaSlasher@BetrayalsStage So i suppose youre right that if the game turns out the way you seem to hope, then i dont like it as much as you do. But i sincerely hope you dont get your wish.
@MagmaSlasher@BetrayalsStage If it becomes mandatory to play the weird route to get the true ending, i'll play it, because i adore deltarune, and will want to play it to the end. I will also think less of the game, and will have to tell a friend of mine to stop playing it because of trigger warnings.
@AMonsterIGuess@MagmaSlasher This would be a good argument if the weird route was a separate ending like genocide route, and not as is being suggested here, a mandatory darker way more uncomfortable route necessary to get the main ending of an otherwise fairly lighthearted rpg. With dark themes, mind you.
@MagmaSlasher Dont call me bud you patronizing asshole. At least have the decency to not talk down to the people who present opposing viewpoints to your crackpot theories, you prick.
@MagmaSlasher@BetrayalsStage I love deltarune, i've played every single chapter the moment they released, i would just feel icky and gross playing through the weird route, just like how i dislike being evil when playing a game like baldurs gate, so i would be sad if i had to play it to get the normal ending.
@MagmaSlasher@BetrayalsStage Do you not realize that this is a bad faith argument? Do you think that someone who feels uncomfortable with the genocide route in undertale also shouldnt be able to get the pacifist ending? And do you think not enjoying geno route means they dont enjoy playing undertale?
@RhockoHarrison Would be pretty sad about it personally, though its cool in concept. I get that a lot of people find the weird route cool, but i would just get depressed playing it, so i'd hope i wouldnt have to play it to access the ending. It'd be like if true pacifist required geno first.
@MagmaSlasher Yeah thats great and all, but what if maybe there exist people that dont wanna do a route like that? Do you think undertale would have been improved as well if he had locked the true ending behind genocide completion as well?
@pisssippa enjoyed the elden ring videos a lot, but i do get why people who arent superfans of that game might prefer games in the background that dont require as much active engagement. I think elden ring is better if the creator focuses more on it. Still sad its gone tho
