We have 4k and digital grading now. Yes, they do look digitally crisper and more colour-controlled. Of course they do! Don't compare a Netflix original with The Godfather. Compare M3gan to Chopping Mall.
I'm middle aged, and think B&W films can be pretty stilted.
This is normal
And it looks like the John Carpenter letterboxd account is already gone?
Jeez letterboxd, if you are that concerned with shit posting, have you tried looking at your 'Popular Reviews'?
Well if John Carpenter isn't willing to be John Carpenter, maybe someone else should have a go.
John can 'exec produce' this John Carpenter if he likes, and it can be 'John Carpenter's John Carpenter'
@DanWritehead I will admit no moral highground here, and see 'less corruption' as a victory - I do not know if that is a 'realistic' attitude towards power, or a 'defeated' one.
But, as they inevitably come after Labour, it is more that 'is that the worst you found?'
@DanWritehead Certainly that's me giving an AWFULLY lenient reading of Mr Dunt - he's a media bod and he's talking about media.
The relentless, criminal, corruption WAS fine for the Tories, but lesser, but real, corruption is a death blow for Labour.
@DanWritehead i've seen several twitter ads, looking like journalism, pushing these LABOUR BRIBES stories too, and I think that's the key - this is a narrative being FUNDED. The real story is of a media being organised to be relentlessly anti-Labour.
My main reaction to The SIlmarillion is that, everytime I hear the word, I think of Marillion and I get annoyed.
That's about where I am on being a Tolkien aficionado.
One of my fondest memories of the Silmarillion is that Illuvatur created a giant mound of Tuna for the elves to live on and, as the years passed, the mound of Tuna did turn green.
I mean, maybe it was the Ainur, not the Elves, maybe it was a Valar, not Illuvatur. Buggered if I know, to be honest.
I only read the Silmarillion because there was this lady I fancied who was a massive Rings-head, but hadn't read the Silmarillion. So I did.
I'm fairly sure it is not that they are just super young and slim and wear tight-fits (though citation needed always when middle-age envy could be in play).
It is that it looks like they don't have completely free movment in their lower halves.
What on earth?
All the cool people in racing games look like their trousers don't fit.
It's like the gusset is a couple inches below their actual groin, so forcing them to walk funny.
Everyone! In multiple games!
(Forza Horizon 4 and Crew 2 for reference)
