Perfectionism keeps you stuck overthinking, waiting for the “perfect moment,” and never starting.
Consistency shows up every day, even when it’s messy, and compounds into unstoppable results.
The real winners aren’t the most talented or the most flawless they’re the ones who refuse to quit on the bad days.
Start imperfectly.
Stay consistent.
Win anyway.

More eye-opening stats on @MinnHockey leading the way on elite player development with triple the draft picks of any other state. Michigan and Massachusetts had the 5th/6th most. WOW.
These two states continue to go further into the professional model and MN continues to win.
I’d love for people in these states to stand up and say enough is enough. Too expensive and too much narrowing of the talent pyramid too early DOES NOT lead to more elite players. Data continues to show the exact opposite.
Thanks @louissnee99 for the breakdown.

This is a remarkable shift in urban growth in Hamilton - from sprawl to tall in a very short period of time.
Cities can put a pin in sprawl, and rewrite their future. Hamilton is in the process of doing it. Even more good news is that Hamilton is such a vast, low density land area that there is an almost unending opportunity for infill.

Halifax has a plan to build more homes. I've haven't looked at it in detail but one point pops out:
They are creating a 'trusted partner program,' which will offer qualified developers – working with certified professionals who have a solid track record of quality developments – expedited services, allowing them to get shovels in the ground faster.
Today, in many municipalities, the folks who propose and build junk are treated the same as people who offer high quality city-building proposals. Trusted partners should be expedited. Quite frankly, those who build junk should be slowed down.
When I was Chief Planner, we implemented a system to expedite excellent proposals, going against the grain of treating everyone who showed up on our door step the same.
This proposal goes further. It's good.
The bar for becoming a 'trusted partner' should be set high. Developers should strive to be on this coveted list. If the bar is set high, it will incentivize better players to build more in the housing market in Halifax. I've been a little worried that the pressure to build is resulting in an 'anything anywhere' approach. We need to reward developers who build quality, sustainable housing.
Toronto, and elsewhere, should copy this. But the bar must be set high for it to work.

We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Coach Billy MacMillan. He was a legendary athlete and person, who was a winner in life.
A Stanley Cup winner, an Olympic medalist, and the coach who guided us to a 1990-91 title, but above all, he was a great man.
