@arraveri the position was posted again 3 months later, and i was never given a reason why i apparently failed their trial. now at another job and have been for two years, i see the owner of the old place weekly. they had to downscale their business due to lack of staff and funding :)
@arraveri hired with a trial two months and paid cash in hand for it. always calculated how much i got hourly, ranged from 8.20 to 14.10. had a previously arranged trip elsewhere for a week and was asked not to return the day before i got back over text. had to chase them for my final pay.
The Plushie Dreadfuls game will heavily feature the concept of 'floating islands' as this is a favorite motif of mine. What started as a trick used by early 3D game developers to create more expansive visuals for a relatively low processing cost perfectly captures the notion of a shattered mental landscape.
And I've just finished writing an intro that perfectly links the narrative world of Madness Returns into the start of the Plushie Dreadfuls story AKA a spiritual successor. Done in a way that avoids legal issues while doing service to fans of the Alice games. Long live the floating islands! ❤️
found a jax stress ball today that looks as though it's actual digital circus merch and approved by glitch (i very much hope it is because the packaging uses all the logos). looked at the back and saw that, once again, gangle has been excluded and gummigoo included. :/
All around me is ash.
My friends have gone.
My body clamours to life in hope.
The heat death of the universe has begun and all of time crumbles.
I watch as it all comes to an end.
GTA VI finally releases.
@americanmcgee i didn't even hear about alice 3 until it was already scrapped, and i adored the first two. i was so sad when i found out because the stuff i've seen around the third was so cool
I still wish someone could explain this to me. Why is it that an account with 5~6k followers can get 10k likes on a post about my game - while when *I* post about it, I am lucky to get 300 likes? And I have 50k+ followers. Are all my followers dead?
This same thing happened during the entire time we were trying to drum up public support for "Alice: Asylum" - all that art, design, and other effort was essentially lost to the void.
Why it frustrates me: In terms of the sort of response a publisher would want to see as a measure of the IP's potential, there was practically nothing.
But to this day when a random X/Insta account posts up a video montage - it blows the doors off.
What gives?
PS: No shade toward those who pull these kind of numbers. More power to you. But I do wish some of that power could have been shown in response to the effort we made trying to get a 3rd game made 🤷
