I'll help you with that:

1. Migration between Bengal and Bihar is a 2 way process and approx. 1.4 million Bengalis live in Bihar as of today

2. You forget that Bihar was part of Bengal but Kolkata was looting our wealth and accumulating it while ignoring our region and hence we sought a separation.

3. Migration between neighbouring states is pretty common especially if there is historical connection like the above. In the west, migration between countries is common too.

4. Migration may tilt towards Bengal because Kolkata was India's capital at one point and hence, historically people migrate towards the capital city

5. Britishers strategically set up 4 metros in four different corners of the country for economic activities. Chennai uplifted the entire South, Mumbai entire West (Gujaratis migrated in huge numbers to Mumbai), Delhi uplifted the entire North but Kolkata failed the entire East and it continues to do so. For example, Tata moving out from Singur was a setback for the entire Eastern region which was hoping for ancillary industries to develop an ecosystem. Further, Kolkata or West Bengal I must say failed to create any other major city in the entire East including West Bengal itself where as other metropolitan cities contributed to development of many tier 2 cities.

6. Constitution guarantees every Indian the right to work anywhere in the country and speak the language of their choice. Yet, most Biharis who are in WB are very familiar with Bengali but can't say the same about Bengalis in Bihar. I don't think they speak Maithili, Magahi, Bhojpuri, Bajjika or Angika.

So if you feel the heat today sitting in AC room, your forefathers had a big contribution to it and the present govt is not doing any better either.

If Bengal was prosperous, not every other affluent Bengali would have moved to Bengaluru and Bengalis would not have had to pay rent to sleep with dogs in a Kennel in Kerala.

It is a shame that you are not able to control or question your own migration and take an opportunity to pounce upon others.

Odisha has left you behind in all economic matters, Bihar will too.
