The issue with this is why did he need to compare to Ames?
He could’ve just said he’s enjoyed XYZ in Happy Valley and Trader Joe’s but it’s like he wants to take another jab at Ames (which has plenty of good dining options for a town its size).
On my way to a conference for work and the girl next to me on the plane split her coffee all over my leg, shoes, and bag…my one pair of jeans for 5 days…
@MNelson_ISU My parents have had 4+ season tickets and go to the Big 12 tournament every year for 30+ years and are ready for a change. I’d argue those that do go to the games are most upset by the last few years.
Trying to be happy and cheer for Illinois for my boyfriend - but I really wanted Houston to win for the Big 12 and to not have the Elite Eight so Big Ten heavy…
Hope to see everyone there! Let’s show them how great Iowa State fans are!
**CrossRoads is the spot before/after game; they will have audio for the Michigan State game but also have the ISU game on; I recommend watching the game at Murphy’s Bleachers if you aren’t going to United Center
Let's keep dancing, Cyclones! Iowa State Men's Basketball is off to the Sweet 16 in Chicago. Before the game on Friday, stop by The CrossRoads Bar & Grill (1120 W Madison St) to meet up with fellow Cyclones! This location will provide a shuttle to the United Center.
Some other places nearby to go to if CrossRoads gets too busy (not officially partnering with ISU, but places I recommend as a local): Black Barrel Tavern, Third Rail Tavern, Kaiser Tiger, and Ranalli’s Pizza Bar. All are in the area and walkable to United Center.
Cyclones heading to Chicago for the Sweet Sixteen: official meet-up on Friday will be at Crossroads Bar and Grill (1120 W Madison St) in the West Loop!
They’re have a free shuttle running to and from United Center. Seating is first come first serve.
@schmidt_gu21980@clones_sports Yes they’ll have a game watch there for anyone not going to the game! It’ll be a busy place with opening weekend and CrossRoads is close to United Center so they’re partnering with us as a closer location for those going to the game!

@clones_sports@BlackFarmsAg They open at 11am so feel free to stop by whenever! I’d guess most will head there late afternoon (that’s my plan with my group) before the first game
