1st August, 2024 (End bad governance protest) in Jos, Plateau State‼️
I was in this crowd alongside other protesters. Christians surrounded Muslims, guarding them while they prayed, we bought bags of pure water to share to them to carry out their ablution. On Sunday of that protest, Muslims surrounded Christians, guarding them while we held our service.
We had one voice, one cry. There was no fight amongst us at the protest ground (but when some miscreants tried to misbehave, they were immediately dealt with). Rather, the fight was against the government . Imalms and Pastors shared one podium to speak with one voice. This was like a new revolution for us in Jos, Plateau State and all of us were happy about it.
This is the Jos we know, the Plateau we know. My desire is for Jos to heal again and to come out of this stronger than ever. It won’t happen by a miracle or prayers, we need to make a deliberate effort and tell ourselves the truth, fish out the miscreants amongst us who are causing these troubles regardless of Religion and Tribe.
Oh my Jos ‼️
Oh my Plateau‼️
Let us fight for the peace on the Plateau 😫💔🤲🏽
Alhamdulillah
The youth of Anguwan Rogo saved two elderly Christian women and hand them over to the security operatives today.
Also the Muslims Youths of Zololo Junction also hand over a Christian lady to the security
May Peace restore in Jos, Plateau State.
✅ Your Governor is a Christian.
✅ The Deputy Governor is a Christian.
✅ 21 Commissioners are all Christians.
✅ 9 Directors across ministries are all Christians.
✅ 20 of the Governor's special advisers are Christians.
✅ 99.9% of the 8 Security Agencies are dominated by Christians.
✅ Heads of all the security agencies are Christians.
✅ The majority religion is Christianity.
✅ The minority religion is Islam.
YET YOU CLAIMED MUSLIMS ARE KILLING YOU. I don't think there is any human with rational thinking who will believe that. My advice to Muslims of Plateau State is that I think it's high time you stood up and fought for your rights. Get yourself into politics. Stop this nonsense mentality of saying, "We left the political offices for them for peace to reign." Get yourself a better candidate who will protect your lives because, from the way things are going, these people will never allow you to rest. They slaughtered travelers, but they were pardoned.
They slaughtered themselves and still push the blame on you, seeking their government to prosecute you, even though most of them testify that the perpetrators are unknown. But when the culprits are caught and it happens that they are Christians, they turn a blind eye because it doesn't fit their narrative.
Why are they not saying anything about the Reverend Father arrested for supplying firearms to terrorists?📌
What happened to the church treasurer who kidnapped his pastors along with his friends?📌
What happened to the pastor who hired people to kill the Governor's father?📌
What happened to the killers of General Alkali Ali? 📌
What happened to the killers of the 26 Maulud travelers in 2021? 📌
What happened to the killers of the Zaria wedding travelers in 2024? 📌
What happened to the killers of 5 Muslim traders killed during fasting in 2026? 📌
What happened to the killers of 5 Muslims killed in a filling station?📌
May Allah be with the Muslims of Plateau State and Nigeria 🇳🇬
Plateau tensions: calls for fairness as outrage grows over selective reactions to inflammatory statements
By: Zagazola Makama
Growing tensions in Plateau State have sparked debate over fairness, responsibility and accountability, following calls by some groups for the arrest of a local comedian over comments made after recent violence in Barkin Ladi.
The controversy comes in the aftermath of an attack that led to the killing of five youths of Hausa extraction, reportedly during unrest that followed an earlier assault on a community in the area.
In the wake of the incident, several youths across different communities expressed anger and frustration, with some issuing statements that were inflammatory and capable of escalating tensions.
Among them was the comedian, identified as “Maha,” whose comments have since gone viral on social media, drawing criticism and calls for his arrest.
However, the reactions was a selective outrage, because similar or even more direct statements have been made by other actors without attracting the same level of attention.
According to multiple videos monitored by Zagazola, some youth leaders in the Birom had earlier issued warnings and strong remarks amid rising tensions, including threats of retaliation and declarations suggesting communities could no longer guarantee peace under certain conditions.
One of them was the Birom Youth Leader who declared that they cannot longer guarantee Peace in Plateau state if Fulani continue to come into Plateau state. Another youth openly declare that as from the day a certain attack happened, any Fulani found around the community or elsewhere should be killed. Another youths Leader was heard saying there will no longer be Peace in Plateau state.
There are also statements attributed to community leaders and other influential figures, like Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo who openly told the youths to go for War which many believed contributed to an already volatile atmosphere instead of helping to restore normalcy.
All these statements often emerge in emotionally charged situations, but they can have serious consequences if not carefully managed.
In conflict environments, words matter. Emotional reactions are understandable, but when they cross into threats, they can fuel cycles of violence. So enforcement of equal actions must be consistent to maintain public trust.
Accountability should not be selective. If the law is to be applied, it must be applied fairly across board, regardless of who is involved. Maha was also reacting to the killing of his people and said the Birom will hear from them. A Birom youth leader equally made the same statement saying the Fulani will hear from them. Both of them have made these statements while attack continue on both sides.
Government have called for restraint, urging leaders, influencers and youths to avoid statements that could inflame passions or lead to reprisals.
Others have emphasised the need for security agencies to focus on addressing the root causes of the violence, including identifying and prosecuting those directly responsible for attacks.
Jos Crisis: Newlywed Corper k+lled in Retaliation Att@ck a Day to His NYSC Passing Out. Leaves Behind Pregnant Wife 💔
An att@ck in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has claimed the lives of two people, including a newlywed Corps member, following an earlier d+adly a§§ault on Gari Ya Waye community in Angwan Rukuba.
Anyone behind the insecurity in northern Nigeria, may they never know peace. May they die the most painful death, killed the same way they killed, tortured the way they tortured others. May their families suffer, may their homes be destroyed.
