We believe curiosity is the road of greatness. With Aalto Explorer, the first underwater expedition platform, everyone can explore the magic of the ocean!
Next week on Saturday (8th June) I am going to be giving a talk in #Helsinki central library #Oodi as part of the celebrations for #WorldOceansDay organised by @AaltoExplorer, they have plans for all day (10-17h), if you are around please come join! (me= #seagrass/plant talk)
Dumbo octopuses are rarely seen as they live in the deep open ocean, reaching down to depths of at least 13,100 feet and perhaps much deeper. This makes them the deepest living of all known octopuses! 🐙

#CoralReef has such vivid colors thanks to 3 factors: zooxanthellae gives brown green from photosynthesis, color-changing ability adapted to environmental conditions, and chromoprotein that absorbs and emits light at different wavelengths.
