UNICEF delegation visited AAP Secretariat for Nutrition. Ms Clara dube, Chief Field Officer, Ms Rastee Chaudhry Consultant had a detailed meeting with Mr. Mustafa Jamal Kazi, Provincial Program Coordinator for Nutrition regarding AAP achievements,lessons-learned and future plans.

Today Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) gets underway in selected UCs of district Umerkot & Tharparkar through registration of Pregnant Women under Mother & Child Support Program - Health & Nutrition -CCT, Chief Minister Secretariat GoS. This initiative is supported by World Bank.

AAP Secretariat in collaboration with Livestock Sector organised 2-days training on "Gender Mainstreaming" & 1-day training on "Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace" from 5-7 Oct at Hyderabad.Participants developed "Gender Action Plan" for Livestock interventions.

Launch of SBCC toolkit is underway in Karachi. Mr Yousif Shaikh, DPC AAP, Mr Christopher Aaron Golden, Regional Director ACF and Dr Ayesha Aziz Chief of Party PINS-2 shared their views about process of developing SBCC toolkit and its benefits.

Discussion on findings of research study on causes of under-nutrition in Tharparkar took place at AAP Secretariat office. This Link Nutrition Cause Analysis (NCA) study was commissioned by German org WHH Pakistan. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohammad Yousif Shaikh, DPC AAP.

DPC AAP Mr Mohammad Yousif Shaikh had a meeting with ECHO Mission who visited AAP Secretariat under UN’s World Food Program. The mission assured Mr Shaikh of their support to complement ongoing AAP efforts. MoU will be signed bwt both entities after agreements on action points.
