I just finished a campaign and I swear to god, if you’re not good with recalling details, WRITE SHIT DOWN. I had a guy playing a bard and he couldn’t remember the name of the NPC that I said no less than a dozen times in the course of an hour and a half. 🧵

I don’t give a shit if you’re bad with names but your character is, WRITE SHIT DOWN. You can’t just hand wave away not knowing a name I’ve said so many times. That’s lazy and shitty and I won’t let you get away with it. I spend a lot of time creating my campaigns

I’ve had a few looks at the VTT content that’s come out of the WotC thing and lemme just say… I do not play D&D to play a goddamned video game. If I want to play a video game I’ll go do that.
