@OOCCouchGags He is still in this show, he’s an executive producer. I think what actually changed was the writing team they have for this show now compared to the final years of the OG show.Writers that are more cautiously aware of the lore and take character details into deeper consideration.

@spamitex Taking place after Lost World and before Forces seems to be the best place to put the show given the story contexts of the surrounding games and IDW. Plus it wouldn't make sense for sonic to learn to not be reckless in the show, only to go back to being reckless in Lost World.

@SonicLorepost Correction, Prime fits in better taking place after Lost World and before Forces. Sonic's characterization at the start of the show is more similar to how he was throughout LW, given the way he would leap into action without accounting for the consequences.

@PokoChokos I'd say, the both of them being in the show means that we know it's set after both unleashed and colors. If anything, the Prime is most likely set after Sonic Lost World and before Sonic Forces and every game/media that came after it.

@PersonthePerso2 Honestly, the best way to put sonic prime is to place it after every game up to sonic lost world, but before the events of Forces and later installments like, IDW, Frontiers and Dream Team.

@IanFlynnBKC Plus, in the beginning of the show, the way sonic is characterized is pretty similar to how he was in both Colors and Lost World. And later in Forces and Frontiers, he’s more dialed back and especially caring for his friends. So it’s pretty easy to put 2 and 2 together here.

@IanFlynnBKC Of course it’s obviously after Advanced 3 since Orbot and Cubot were in the show, ergo, taking place after Unleashed and Colors respectively. And Shadow, Rouge, Big, Amy, and the others being in it meant it took place after the Genesis and Adventure games too.

@TheCartoonCrave As much as I did enjoy some episodes of seasons 9 and 10, I do agree that if that show had to end sooner than that, this episode(which was the last episode of season 8) would have been the perfect series finale. A simple yet entertaining and heartfelt episode with the core cast.

@sonicstadium I mean, I thought it was already obvious that the IDW comics were canon. The way it started after forces's ending, the way other past game events are referenced, sonic mentioning tangle in frontiers, the merchandise of the comic introduced characters, etc. The proof is all there.

@LapisTheWolf My parents bought some games for me from gamestop and sonic's ultimate genesis collection for xbox 360 was among them. I put the disc in, selected sonic 1, and the moment green hill act 1 started, the rest was history.

@GamingBoy256 Is this necessarily a bad thing? The orginal versions were pretty dulled out due to the game gear's mono audio output. This way, the games sound stands out more on stereo or surround sound TVs and speakers.
