Nearly 8,000 @DominionEnergy resources, contractors, and support personnel are fully mobilized and prepared to respond to the coming storm in Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Our crews will work around the clock to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.
We will prioritize power restoration for hospitals, schools, water treatment facilities and other critical community services, as well as areas with the largest number of outages.

@LK2CHAT@DominionEnergy Great question. People who are served directly by underground lines experience far fewer and shorter outages. However, for major storms, it’s best for everyone to be prepared. Severe storms can knock out mainfeeder lines and cause outages even in undergrounded areas.

The @DominionEnergy mobile app is the best way to track your restoration time. We are updating estimated restoration times as crews assess damage and begin making repairs at each location.
@DominionEnergy crews are out in force and have restored power to more than 90% of the 280,000 customers impacted by last night’s thunderstorms. Most customers will have their power restored by 11:00 p.m. tonight. Some outages in the hardest hit areas may extend into Saturday.
