Something could be built by yourself, a contractor or a cofounder. Each has its trade-offs and it’s possible to blend them in some cases.

Your resources and network will dictate which options the most effective.

A task that is poorly scoped is poorly understood.

If your scope is always getting cut after the fact, information isn't flowing to developers.

I have observed each programming language seems to produce a similar work environment and culture for that language.

I’ve always chosen an opportunity base on who I would get to work with over what I get to work with.

MYTH: You need a portfolio to land a freelance contract.

I've never had one and have never been asked to show one.

The key was I focused on understanding the client's business.

Once they felt they were talking to a fellow entrepreneur, they knew I was their guy.

@sisidotdev I’ve been guilty of this often myself. I’ve found that scepticism is more habitual than anything else for myself. I find a bit of self-inquiry snaps me out of it. Asking myself questions like, do I actually care about this? 0r how would I make this work?
