@NFFC_EPL Not seeking to start an argument with fellow Forest fans, but this is a massive oversimplification. Any increased stadium capacity comes with tangible increased impacts on surrounding infrastructure, which necessitate valid talk of mitigation in planning terms.
@madgeni Agreed the optics of everything so far and fan engagement is very opaque. It’s a tricky thing to balance because sharing complex information can invite false, misguided, and unhelpful commentary, but they could and should be more open.
Don’t often tweet, but as someone who works in the development industry I have conflicting views on the #nffc stadium debate.. most people can’t fathom how many constraints / considerations inform even the smallest development, not to mention the complexities of planning.
@petermblackburn@ForestAMOAOTP And as we know Forest’s recent record of transparency and honesty is questionable at best, so I fully share this pervasive sense of apprehension and uncertainty..
@petermblackburn@ForestAMOAOTP I agree 100%, it’s a hugely conflicting and dynamic issue that I’m not sure will ever be concluded in a way that fully satisfies everyone.
@petermblackburn@ForestAMOAOTP I have a lot of time for Pete and this viewpoint in general, so certainly not trying to speak in opposition. More offering some limited and rambling insight into the bigger picture based on my experience in the wild west that is the development and planning world..
Not really sure where this is going other than to say it’s easy to be cynical about the club’s intentions, especially given the emotion involved, but there are so many factors at play that as fans we probably can’t understand (for better or worse). We shall see what happens…
What I do know is that unfortunately it’s not as simple as looking at a map and pointing at space either around the CG or elsewhere in the city and assuming it’s straightforward to build a stadium or expand current facilities freely (see planning difficulties just for the stand).
@forest1928 @NFFC_FanGroup To add to this, I think the current hierarchy stand a much greater chance of reinvesting with success than previous regimes..
@jaleo52 @JPercyTelegraph Reading some of the comments from Swansea fans on his later press conferences isn’t exactly reassuring… defensive, no shots on target, only one tactic etc.. sound familiar?! Disclaimer: I haven’t watched enough of him to know how true this is. https://t.co/eRVauIWLcd
