The browser's back/forward cache (bfcache) is awesome. For 14% of navigations on a high-traffic site in NL, Chrome could restore the page from bfcache, resulting in a much faster user experience: 85% lower LCP !
@cloudinary article about img decode attribute is #2 in Google SERP for "image decode async", and it's filled with bad info 🫤 e.g. "decoding is an expensive process, and because JavaScript is single-threaded, decoding happens synchronously on the main thread"

@TimVereecke What do you mean by queries? Server to DB or something, or the req from client to server? Of the latter, why not use connection throttling in devtools?
