Awarded quarter end bonuses to students by using @Schoology Badges to equate into extra credit. Bonuses for Outstanding Engagement, Teamwork, and Being Kind. I viewed badges as more for the younger set, but the high schoolers liked them. I will use these again! @BurnsvilleHS

Had a great time at the @Schoology NEXT conference. Four of us from @ISD191 were invited to present on Best Practices - @raztech and Bethany for districtwide practices and @mscolemanbhs and I for teaching. Best of all, we learned lots of new ideas to implement this next year!

@MrTomRad I have, and it’s tragic. Chronic, habitual verbal and physical abuse by parents is out there, and it can be present in any family of any race or ethnicity. I get that isn’t the point of your post, but I still think it needs to be said.

A total of 102 students have achieved recognition based on their scores on rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) exams they took last spring after completing college-level courses at Burnsville High School.

In social studies alone, students at BHS can earn over 30 college credits through concurrent enrollment and AP.

BHS students averaged a 20% higher passing rate on the AP US History test as compared to the nat’l average. With most having already earned 6 U of MN concurrent enroll’t credits, these scores were just insurance. Impressive. #One91
