2025 அக்டோபரில் வீரமணி மீது POCSO வழக்கு பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு, 2026 பிப்ரவரியில், அதாவது 5 மாதங்களுக்குள், காவல்துறை வழக்கை முடிக்கப் பார்த்ததை, காவல்துறையைத் தன் கட்டுக்குள் வைத்திருந்தவர் அறிவாரா? இரும்புக்கரம் இற்றுப்போய் இருந்ததா?

பொள்ளாச்சி வழக்கிற்குப் பொங்கிய கொத்தடிமைகளும், அவர்களின் பண்ணையாரும் இப்போது அமைதி காப்பது ஏன்? மெழுகுவர்த்தி ஏந்தி ஊர்வலம் சென்ற அண்ணனும் தங்கையும் கமுக்கமாக இருப்பது ஏன்? அப்போது பொங்கியது தேர்தல் ஆதாயத்திற்காகவா?

யார் இவ்வழக்கை முடிக்கச் சொல்லி அதிகாரிகளுக்கு உத்தரவிட்டது? பாட்டியைப் பிடிக்கத் தனிப்படை அமைத்த பண்ணையார், இவ்வழக்கைப் பற்றி வாய் திறக்க மறுப்பது ஏன்?

உரிமைக்காக போராடிய தூய்மைப் பணியாளர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள், செவிலியர்கள், விவசாயிகள் மீது காவல்துறையை ஏவல்துறையாக்கி அதிகார அத்துமீறல் செய்தவருக்கு, வீரமணி வழக்கின் விசாரணையை முடுக்கிவிட வக்கில்லையா?

“அனைவரும் தன்னை அப்பா என்று அழைக்கிறார்கள்” என்று ஷூட்டிங் நடத்தி அப்பா திணிப்பு செய்த போலி அப்பாவிற்கு, பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் குழந்தைகள் என்று தெரியாதா? அல்லது அக்கறையில்லையா?

சட்டம் ஒழுங்கைக் காக்கும் துறையை கையில் வைத்திருந்தவர், யாரைக் காப்பாற்ற வாயை மூடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்? குற்றமுள்ள நெஞ்சு குறுகுறுக்கிறதோ?

அப்பா என்று தன்னை முன்னிறுத்திக் கொண்டவரின் ஆட்சியில் முடிக்கப் பார்த்ததாகக் கூறப்படும் வழக்கை வெளிச்சத்திற்குக் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார் தமிழகத் தங்கைகளின் அண்ணன், வெற்றித் தலைவர்!

மக்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். மக்களின் தீர்ப்பு, கள்ளமௌனம் காப்பவர்களைக் கதிகலங்கச் செய்யப் போவது உறுதி.

#Bharathidasan’s scholarship dispute became a political issue almost immediately. @mkstalin and @Udhaystalin intervened publicly, and #TamilNadu media amplified it heavily.

And then there is the #Veeramani #POCSO case.

Several survivors were minors at the time. Some are still under 18. Video evidence. An attempted police closure. Court intervention. Almost all the survivors identified so far are from poor families. The investigation now includes the SC/ST Atrocities Act alongside POCSO offences.

And somehow, this has barely disturbed the ecosystem.

What exactly is the threshold for outrage in #TamilNadu?

How much more horrific does a case involving children, multiple alleged survivors, video evidence, an attempted police closure, and court intervention have to become before Tamil Nadu’s politicians and media react with the same urgency?

Do victims need a PhD, a camera and the ability to articulate their pain before the political class and media decide their suffering is worth amplifying?

If multiple alleged child victims, POCSO offences, the SC/ST Atrocities Act and a case that police once tried to close still cannot generate sustained political and media outrage, what exactly will?
