And what a story! Pa was great fun and we used to take off on road trips, replete with singing, picnic baskets and much adventure. But underneath there was always an unquestionable dedication to country and his service and the larger cause with ma invariably lending a helping hand at the many hospitals or charitable organizations. @chakranewz@probirpaymate@srikantkesnur@SandeepUnnithan@zwerubae@indiannavy

VIDEO | In an exclusive interview with PTI, Axis My India Chairman Pradeep Gupta says, "The only fear I have is that sometimes our prediction or direction may be correct, but the numbers may slightly vary, and still people say that the prediction was wrong. I am afraid of making mistakes, that I should not speak without data and make a prediction based on assumptions... Just like PTI, whose job is to report what is happening on the ground, and Axis My India also works to reflect what is happening on the ground. Only the subject matter is different."

Over the two phases of elections, no cases of death or major bombings were reported across 294 constituencies of the state. Analysts attribute the drop to a curtailed electoral span (2 phases as opposed to eight in 2021) and the heavy deployment of central paramilitary forces, with 1 CAPF personnel deployed for every 100-150 voters

At the remembrance event for Sir Mark Tully or Mark Sa’ab as he was fondly called. Several speakers from Suneet Tandon to Yogendra Yadav, Satish Jacob, Saeed Naqvi, Ira Pande and so may more recalled anecdotes and stories. Also what was evident, was how in those decades, BBC was the go to for reliable news, listening to Mark Tully on the radio was a family practice.. Yogendra Yadav recalled it was the BBC they relied on during the election after the emergency.
Everyone spoke of Mark Tully’s commitment to fair, balanced reportage. How he travelled and interacted with all types of people, and his command of hindi. It was a lovely and inspiring event organised by Gillian Wright

Outlook photographer Yasir Iqbal has won the World Press Photo Award 2026 in the West Asia region for his photograph titled "A Daughter's Grief in Kashmir," originally published on the cover of Outlook's May 21, 2025 issue — "Is It War?"
A year has passed since the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians and triggered a four-day military escalation between India and Pakistan before the May 11 ceasefire. The photograph remains a haunting testament to the human cost of conflict.
