*🚨 URGENT – MISSING FAMILY IN CRITICAL DANGER 🚨
It has been 11 days since Halimatu, who is 9 months pregnant and due any moment, was kidnapped along with her husband and their 2-year-old child in Katsina demanding for N600,000,000 ransom.
If you look back you’ll see that every situation that Allah has brought you in, has either changed you, helped you grow, made you stronger, taught you a lesson, or made you a better person. Everything He does, has a purpose!
I had the opportunity to attend a one-day capacity building workshop on Regenerative Agriculture (Theme:Generating our Earth:Native trees for carbon capture and fertile lands)organized by @Awifca Collaboration with @IITA Kano,Icrisat Kano Station.
Senator Ned Nwoko is cooking something oo 😂😂😂
Baba has just proposed a bill to the Senate titled
“A Bill for an Act to Provide for the Establishment, Development, and Management of Ranches in the 774 Local Government Areas and the Federal Capital Territory, to Promote Modern Livestock Farming, Curb Open Grazing, Enhance Food Security, and for Related Matters”.
The bill makes provisions for state-level approvals for land allocation - This is beautiful 😍
The bill also outlines the establishment of a Ranch Management and Development Agency to provide regulatory oversight, compliance, and implement sustainable ranching practices - More jobs for we country 💯😎
Lastly and the most funniest 😂 😂 😂
The bill will also ensure fair compensation and resettlement of individuals and communities whose lands are acquired for ranching projects.
If your fathers house or village lands are acquired for ranching, govt will compensate you and you have to pack your loads to another place.
After God na Govt! 🙌
No one dares say NO!
May Nigeria succeed 🙏
A small scale holder farmer who targets Strawberry 🍓 or grape without focusing on a crop with versatile demand like Tomatoes 🍅, Ugu, Okra, Egusi, Groundnut, Beans, Maize has failed to understand that the crops with strong local demand is a safer bet.
Stop focusing on what the majority doesn’t eat. Scout for crops which many would need, staples and ingredients that are essential.
Plant what the poor, the average class and the elites can afford. Your marketing starts from the people u talk to.
If you plant certain crops, u go explain tire
People here tend overhype cocoa and palm fruit plantations, giving them soo much importance, as if themproduce golds. But what many don’t know is that just a single cycle of onions (4 months period) on one hectare can generate nearly twice the revenue of what cocoa or palm fruits yield in an entire year.
Most people focus solely on the international value of the cocoa and the rest, overlooking the massive potential within Nigeria’s own borders. With a population of over 220 million and less than 5% engaged in successful commercial farming, the local market is a goldmine waiting to be tapped.
You’d be surprised to learn that even basic products like coconut and palm oil aren’t produced in sufficient quantities, we still import themnto cushion he demand from Ghana and Benin Republic. And crops like hibiscus, millet, and sesame, We bring in a good percentage from Niger Republic.
If Agribusiness is what you do, ask yourself this questions:
Is there a demand for what you plant?
Do you have the volume or can you partner with other farmers to create the needed volume so as to get a better market price?
Can your farm pay your workers and pay you?
Do you regard your farm as a company, is it registered and do you write down costs, sales and profits?
Do you have a specific account to receive money from sales made?
Can you project your turnover?
Would an investor be ready to invest in you based on your performance?
What plans do you have when there is glut?
Do you have plans to add value or do you have people who can help you add value (Agro processing)?
What networks are you building in the Agribusiness space in Nigeria or abroad?
Farmers need to connect, partner & discuss ways to be profitable. It’s not a competition, some people you meet here could offer you better deals, especially during glut. 🤝
