Our flight to Edmonton tomorrow was canceled at 11 a.m. today. @AirCanada notified us by text & email, and within 4 hours we were rebooked on a new flight 2 days later with plenty of options to change our return date as well (at no extra cost). 1/3
People love to crap all over @AirCanada but they had thousands of people's flights to rebook in Vancouver alone (not to mention all the storms across the country) and they were super proactive and efficient in getting this done at an incredibly stressful time for all. 2/3
... but providing basic info to your ticket holders is not a “panic”, it’s responsible & the right thing to do. I'll be asking for a refund on my season tickets as this is not the kind of organization I want to be associated with. @WhitecapsCEO (12/12)
Today I called @WhitecapsFC about their COVID-19 response. I’m a season ticket holder & w/ a game scheduled Saturday, was wondering if the game was still on. Indian Wells tennis tourney was cancelled & NCAA tourney is closed to fans, so I was expecting an email about it (1/12)
But @WhitecapsFC, in their infinite wisdom, know better than: public health officials, top doctors, other & much bigger leagues with much more revenue to lose, etc. etc. Shameful and quite honestly, irresponsible. I can choose not to go to the game (which I’m not)... (11/12)
