Tahseen Shurdum and his brother Ihsan Shurdum were symbols of the Circassian community in Jordan that cannot be replaced or replicated. One became a special forces commander and chief of staff of the Jordanian armed forces, the other a war hero and chief of staff of the airforce.
@Grimmturs Nope, Ive never heard a negative thing about Circassians from Georgians I’ve met IRL. Only positive reactions. On Twitter it’s the complete opposite 😂
Caucasians can sniff each other out in public without context.
Minding my business waiting for my lunch, a group of athletes in black and red started staring at me. Asked them what’s up, turned out it’s a Georgian team that stopped to debate if I’m Georgian or Armenian lmao.
@punishedlex@Katai_Real Yes you’ve met every Circassian and dealt with them directly. I, who have atleast 10 direct relatives living there rn, or friends living there is just being deluded.
Be serious 😂 worry about your internal issues
@punishedlex@Katai_Real I’ve heard it myself from people who despise Russians, that in Ukraine, Circassians gaining military experience is valuable for the nation incase an ethnic conflict breaks out in the Caucasus. Like in Abkhazia not too long ago .
@punishedlex@Katai_Real I’m pro Ukraine myself, but this is not true. Many North Caucasians (specifically Circassians) don’t see Ukrainians as anything but a continuation of the same Cossacks that colonized our lands. It’s easy money, and gives privileges regarding weapon ownership.
@punishedlex@Katai_Real Obviously there are Russian loyalists, but the vast majority identify as Circassian and don’t have affinity for state. It’s simply dumb to say “Circassians are russophiles” when the vast majority are in exile in the first place.
@punishedlex@Katai_Real I’d argue deluded prick behaviour is more fitting to those who are independent yet still vote for Russian backed parties. Ukraine war views, or Abkhazian conflict stances don’t dictate outlook on Russia or Russians.
@punishedlex@Katai_Real Social media space is monitored and controlled in Russia, being anti Russian there has real life consequences. I have relatives who live there, and know people from the republics themselves. It’s not common to find Russian loving sentiment like you are accusing of.
@AArutta54138 In Jordan it’s really easy to spot another Circassian off physical appearance, demeanour, way of speaking and even moving.
Haven’t met a randomly come across a Circassian like that where I live now though.
@lafaussepiste I don’t think it’s hate, but there is a lot of anti Armenian rhetoric in Georgia.
Generally speaking, Armenians are disliked by lots of other Caucasians regardless which country. They have a stereotype of being sneaky and very mercantile behaving.
@AnZorious Yeah lol, once you go south of Aqaba shit starts getting real gay.
When I was in Dubai, I saw two dudes walk up to each other. Slow down, and lightly bump noses. Asked wtf was going on and turns out that it’s a tradition in the gulf. They never used to shake hands.
