A NITI Aayog report says nearly 1 lakh govt schools disappeared in India between 2014-24.

At a time when school mergers and closures are becoming the norm, Telangana is building new public schools.

The Telangana Public School at Arutla offers digital classrooms, science labs, sports facilities, free transport and nutritious meals for 1,814 students under one campus.

Not just that, 100 such model schools are being built at ₹15 Cr each across Telangana.

Another ₹720 Cr has been rolled out for 29 lakh students (Pre-Primary to XII) and ₹180 Cr annually for 1.92 lakh junior college students.
