Ex-Muslim Saleem Wastik has been arrested by Delhi Police. A New Hero for the Right Wing.
He was an absconding accused in the kidnapping and murder of 13-year-old boy Sandeep Bansal, the son of a Delhi-based businessman. He had been convicted in 1997 and sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and kidnapping. However, after being granted interim bail in 2000, he fled and remained on the run for years. During this period, he gained support from sections of hindutva group, producing controversial content targeting the Muslim community. After his controversial videos, He was invited to TV debates, featured on YouTube podcasts run by Hindutva accounts, and even had access to BJP ministers and BJP MLAs.
Looks like, he may have used this alignment to build trust and avoid arrest, seeing it as a way to stay under the radar for as long as possible. Sadly for the Right Wing, He is now in custody on murder charges of murdering a Hindu.

कल की डिबेट में मुझे सब से ज़ियादा दुख इस बात का हुआ की मुफ़्ती साहब ने गज़ा में इसराइल द्वारा हज़ारों बच्चों के क़त्ल को गॉड का इम्तहान कहा। यानी हिरोशिमा पर बम गिराया जाए या दो हज़ार दो में गुजरात मैं हज़ारों को क़त्ल किया जाए या फ़िलस्तीनी में ���हिलाओं और ज़ख़्मी लोगों को क़त्ल किया जाए हमें बैठ कर इम्तहान का तमाश देखना चाहिए। रिजल्ट तो उस के हाथ, यही इम्तहान उस ��े क़िस्मत में लिखा था। फ़ैज़ अहमद फ़ैज़ की पंक्तियां याद आ गईं:

वो ये कहते हैं हर एक ज़ुल्म तेरी ज़ात से है
