Following the City’s by-law enforcement operation, the area has been restored to a clean, safe and accessible public space for all residents.

This morning, the streets were noticeably cleaner, with pedestrians moving freely and all illegal structures that had obstructed sidewalks and public spaces removed. Learners can now walk to and from school, and workers can commute to their places of employment with greater peace of mind and without fear of crime. This intervention reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to enforcing by-laws, reclaiming public spaces, and building safer, more dignified communities for everyone.
