Jokes aside
We just blew money up into the fucking fog of Halifax
I understand there's formality and paperwork
But how many people are sleeping with a thin tent between them and the clouds that the city changed colour because the city says they cant/ wont help them
Stupid.
@scaryanneee Oh no! That's so stressful. I hope her surgery goes well & her care team are able to clear it all in one go. Sending all the good vibes 🫶
I see you’re living in a tent with your partner and your dog. Would you like to surrender your dog and sleep alone on a mat in a gymnasium? We’ll throw out all your belongings for free
We brought supplies to and tried to find shelter for hundreds of unhoused people this weekend. Not a single person from the city or @LAHomeless did outreach to a single one of them. You are a failure of a leader @KarenBassLA. But sweet photo op!
Reports are confirming 80 dead, so far, and the @nytimes is reporting that a white settler couple successfully recovered a ROLEX watch from their Lāhainā home.
Changes to Restrictions on Travel and Activities in the Woods
The Province is lifting restrictions on travel and activities in the woods in all areas except for Shelburne County and anywhere evacuation orders are in place, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, June 5.
@jennaposte@HRMFireNews That's just the dark orange as far as the legend marks. The light orange is actually the pink area, but the yellow lines going through it make it look orange until you zoom in.
Looks like smoke from the Shelburne fire will be quite thick during rush hour and the evening in the city. Time is shown in UTC (5PM AST) and here's the link for those who are interested in more info https://t.co/0qnzuNqUOZ #NSFire@HRMFireNews
We will continue to offer free admission today (Thursday) and Friday. It’s been a difficult week and for those looking for a place to spend some time with family. We will be open 9:30 to 4:30. 💚LS
Please check on your friends living with disabilities. Some may need to evacuate, but may need assistance doing so. If you can’t be there physically, a text or phone call goes a long way. #Halifax#NS
Many people in our communities were forced to leave their homes with little notice this weekend due to fires. Nova Scotia Health and @PharmacyNS have heard that people are missing their medications or have medication-related questions. You should know➡️
There is a provincewide ban on open fires because of dry conditions. The ban also applies to fires in provincial parks and private campgrounds and is in effect until further notice. #novascotia
