Ali Sina Mostafavi has summited Mount Everest and then took to the streets to fight for his country's freedom. Now he is at imminent risk of execution after being transferred to solitary confinement. His family has been summoned for their final visit.
This young athlete was sentenced to death in a sham court of the Islamic Republic following forced confessions under torture.
Be the voice of political prisoners at risk of execution and use all available capacities to save their lives.

Statement of Support by 133 Iranian Political Prisoners and Activists Regarding Prince Reza Pahlavi’s Visit to Germany
"In the Name of Iran
To the Esteemed Board of Directors and Officials of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom
With respect,
We, the undersigned political prisoners currently imprisoned in Iran, wish to express our gratitude for your Foundation’s decision to award the 2026 Freedom Prize to the people of Iran, and to entrust Prince Reza Pahlavi with receiving it on behalf of, and in trust for, the Iranian nation. We are grateful that you have recognised the Iranian people’s struggle and remembered the suffering of political prisoners and those who have lost their lives in the cause of freedom.
This letter reaches you and the international community from behind the walls of Iran’s prisons. Among us are those who have spent many years of their lives behind bars. Torture and pressure on prisoners and their families have become the price of demanding freedom in our country. We have endured this suffering in the hope of a free Iran, and we want our voices to be heard.
During the uprising of 8 and 9 January 2026, people took to the streets demanding freedom and an end to the Islamic Republic, and were met with a bloody crackdown. Published reports and estimates speak of tens of thousands killed. Thousands more were arrested, and countless families continue to mourn their loved ones or await news of their fate.
Since those days, the repression has not remained confined to the streets. The execution of protesters and political prisoners has continued week after week. In many of these cases, there has not even been an allegation of murder, and sentences have been based on confessions obtained under torture and unfair trials. They are taking the lives of people who demanded a livelihood, freedom, and the right to choose how they live. No one who took to the streets empty-handed to demand their rights, with no blood on their hands, should be taken to the gallows.
We, the signatories of this letter, regard Prince Reza Pahlavi as our political representative and the voice of our demands before the international community. He is our voice. We have entrusted him with representing us on the path to Iran’s freedom, and we have designated no other person as our representative. We ask Prince Reza Pahlavi to carry this message to the world at the award ceremony.
Our demand is an end to the Islamic Republic and the establishment of a free and representative government that preserves Iran’s territorial integrity and ensures the separation of religion from politics and government.
We support the leadership of Prince Reza Pahlavi in the transition to such an Iran.
The future of the country must be determined through the free vote of the people, and the rights of all citizens must be respected.
We will accept no solution that disregards the freedom of the Iranian people or the end of religious rule.
We call upon governments and international institutions to be the voice of those who have been executed, their families, and the prisoners awaiting execution. Take immediate action to save the lives of these prisoners and halt the executions. Do not allow innocent people who protested for a better life and for freedom to be executed. Apply effective pressure for the unconditional release of political prisoners and an end to torture. Demand access to prisons for independent monitors and insist that the fate of those detained and disappeared be established.
End the policy of appeasement and deal-making with the Islamic Republic. The lives and freedom of the Iranian people must not be subjects of compromise. End political support for this government and transactions that help prolong its rule and strengthen its machinery of repression. Those responsible for killing and torture must be held accountable, and their crimes must not be forgotten or overlooked in any agreement.
Iran’s frozen assets belong to the Iranian people. We call upon the governments holding these resources to establish a lawful and transparent mechanism through which, in coordination with Prince Reza Pahlavi and subject to independent oversight and transparent auditing, these assets can be used to support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and the families of political prisoners and those who have lost their lives. These resources must never again be placed at the disposal of the machinery of repression or networks affiliated with the regime.
Help the Iranian people gain access to a free and open internet. Include the provision of equipment and funding for Starlink and other secure means of communication in your programmes of support, so that people can remain connected with one another and coordinate their civic activities and protests. Do not allow the government to use internet shutdowns to conceal its repression and sever the Iranian people’s connection with the world.
We call upon the international community to support Prince Reza Pahlavi’s efforts for the freedom of Iran and to take seriously the demands of the Iranian people that he conveys to the world. Your support must translate into practical action to save the lives of prisoners and empower the Iranian people.
We want an Iran whose government is accountable to its people and whose resources are used for their well-being. We want to contribute to the world through our knowledge, work, and culture, and to live in peace with our neighbours and other nations. Iran’s future must be free from terrorism, warmongering, and repression.
We ask the Friedrich Naumann Foundation to carry this message to governments and public opinion around the world, and we ask Prince Reza Pahlavi to give voice to the cries of prisoners behind bars at this ceremony.
Be the voice of us and of the families seeking justice. For those awaiting execution, every day matters. Do not leave the people of Iran alone on this path.
With respect and in the hope of a free Iran,
A group of political prisoners currently imprisoned in Iran
October 2026"
Dear @elonmusk
On January 8–9, over 40,000 were killed in Iran.
I raised €300k+ for families who lost loved ones and for injured survivors.
People are struggling to afford food, they are in desperate situations, suicide is rising and the money raised is nowhere near enough.
This is the problem I cannot solve alone. No Human Rights Organisations is offering to help.
Can you help fund this effort and help me find a way to reach them?

First, I want you to look at these pictures, Mr. Morgan.
Mr. Morgan, by inviting Mr. Marandi you are creating a voice for the Islamic Republic, while this individual has blocked all of his opponents.
You know better than anyone that he is engaged in whitewashing a regime that, just a few months ago, killed 50,000 people in the streets in only 48 hours. When you repeatedly give him platforms, you are in effect cooperating with the Islamic Republic.
Mr. Morgan: For this regime, what matters is creating a deceptive dialogue for domestic consumption among its own supporters under the name of the “Islamic Ummah.” The repeated invitations of Marandi exactly fulfill this government’s need for fabricated narrative-building.
For these clerics it is enough to supply the goods for their domestic market. And know this: people like you and all non-Muslims are considered enemies in their eyes, who have never had the right to remain alive.
Please end your programs with these deceivers who, thanks to their father’s service to the dictator Khamenei, have lived, studied, and built a life in America from the plunder of the Iranian people’s wealth.
In the level of satisfaction of the terrorists in the regime’s media and in relying on the abominable lies of this person, you too are involved and complicit.
