They arrested our brother in Christ, Dr. Augustinos Samaan, simply for preaching Jesus and leading souls to Him.

They arrested him on 10/1/25 at 1:30 a.m. without warning.

Muslim inmates burned his legs with cigarettes while the guards looked the other way. He was starved, denied clean water, medical care, and any protection.

As the only Christian in his cell he was tortured and beaten. He has been refused even the basic right to wash his face or take a shower. His head is crawling with lice.

They tortured him behind closed doors in an attempt to break him and force him to renounce his faith. For the "crime" of following Jesus, Egyptian authorities sentenced this man of God to five years of hard labor, legalized slavery.

His mother died three months after the sentence was handed down. She literally died of a blood clot and grief. They likely denied him the chance to even bury her. He didn't get to attend her funeral. Egypt has now rejected Dr. Augustinos Samaan's first appeal for freedom.

Does Egypt have a conscience? Why is he still serving a five-year sentence of forced labor for his Christian faith when Egypt should be compensating him for everything they have done to him? 💔

Why is there zero accountability for the torture, the cigarette burns, the lice, the denial of food and water, and the systematic persecution?

Egypt claims to protect the three divine religions while it crushes Christians under its boot. This is selective enforcement and pure hypocrisy. Look at Augustinos Samaan's YouTube channel.

His mother was everything to him. Egypt stole his freedom, his health, his dignity, and his mother.

The only things they could not take are his faith and the life he still fights for every single day. Pray hard for our brother in Christ.

Open your eyes. This is how Egypt really feels about Christians.

Instead of making a change or making things right in his case, they would rather keep him locked away and silenced.

The Egyptian government cannot compensate him for everything he has been through because of the charges they fabricated against him.

Why allow someone to get a degree in comparative religion, offer "religious freedom in the Constitution," then arrest someone for exercising their degree and their constitutional right?

Instead of taking photo opportunities to say how much you protect the human rights of all, take action. Words mean nothing.
