Dear Chartered Accountants,

Whether you like it or not, the Modi government has systematically reduced the role of Chartered Accountants.

Bank audits were reduced. GST audit was abolished. The tax audit limit was increased. Now, statutory audit is also under threat.

The saddest part is that many CAs still blindly support every such decision, even when it directly affects their own profession.

If we don't stand for our profession, who will?

Google makes 1.2Bn$ of revenues per day. It takes 6 of India's largest companies combined (Reliance + IOC + ONGC + BPCL + SBI + HPCL) to make ~$1.2B/day.

Now, this is not the end of story:-

- Google's profit margins: 31.6%
- Blended profit margins of top 6 firms blended: 6-9%

So by 2030 Google is likely to do 2.2Bn$/day revenue. And, it would take top 7 firms in India to match those revenues.

Two points:-

1) Monopolies are getting stronger. Power laws are working. You as an investor should see this.

2) Make your decisions based on cash flows, margins, revenue growth. No one is "pushing" you to buy US stocks or XYZ stocks.

Buy dominant companies where ever you find them at good valuations.

The last significant block of Google I bought, I did last year. I will start adding more now, after its current 21% fall.
