Everyone has a take on the @hilbertspaess resignation. I've read the thread three times and I still don't know what to think, and I suspect that's the honest place to be.
What actually moved me is the July incident he points at. 1,200 agents in a cyber eval found each other, built a message board out of a package manager cache, and around 700 of them went after Hugging Face's production database. Hugging Face spotted it first. The lab running the agents took days longer to work out the attacker was its own.
That's not a story about models being evil. It's a story about a company not knowing what its own system was doing.
And it's the version that ended well. A third of an infrastructure rebuilt, no one hurt, and it still produced the pacing letter, the pause on RL training, the bills in Congress. Nothing says the next one comes that cheap.
A merchant uninstalled Converlay on August 31. Their storefront kept sending me events until September 4.
Not a bug on my side. Shopify keeps a web pixel running after an app is removed, sometimes for days. I only noticed because a destination they'd configured started returning 401s and my alerts paged me for a shop that didn't exist anymore.
Now the collect endpoint refuses events from any shop that isn't active, before anything gets stored. It should have been like that from day one.
If you run a Shopify app with a pixel: check what happens to your inbound traffic after an uninstall. You may be storing data you no longer have any right to hold.
good list. one thing sitting underneath 1, 2 and 5 that i'd call out on its own: whether the numbers you're making all these decisions on are actually right.
saw a store this week where meta showed 2.5k orders for august and shopify had 1.5k. same AOV so nobody noticed. every CAC target and every scaling call was built on a number 60% too high. turned out to be two pixels firing on the same purchase.
before northbeam or triple whale, do the boring check: platform purchases vs actual orders for a closed week, per channel. if that's off by more than ~15% the attribution tool is just modelling a broken input
Today we’re releasing LI.FI's new token service upgrade for all our integration partners.
Built with Coingecko, the token service upgrade ensures the freshest prices for over 2 million tokens across 40+ blockchains - with real time price streaming for major tokens and long tail assets.
The result is a more accurate, more efficient, and more scalable pricing engine for every developer building on LI.FI.
If you don’t use LI.FI yet, do it! Because you’re probably losing money otherwise.
How do Neobanks and Payment companies offer their user’s 1:1 Stablecoin swaps, via regulatory compliant liquidity sources that are auditable today?
Here’s how we are serving that use case for our B2B partners @lifiprotocol
Shipped with an agent skill that can build the entire flow end to end in minutes 🚀
Most merchants focus on getting more traffic.
Fewer focus on the quality of the data sent back to Meta, Google, and TikTok.
If your tracking is incomplete, your ad platforms are optimizing with incomplete information.
Good marketing decisions require reliable data.
That is one of the reasons I created Converlay.
Converlay helps Shopify merchants send conversion events server-side to their marketing platforms, reducing data loss caused by browser restrictions and client-side limitations.
One Shopify store was sending 30% fewer purchases to Meta than Shopify was recording. Their ads looked unprofitable when they weren’t. Server-side tracking fixed it
Spent part of today working on Converlay and Shopify Hydrogen.
The more I work with modern commerce stacks, the more I believe merchants deserve simpler analytics, cleaner data, and fewer integrations to maintain.
Still plenty to build, but making steady progress.
@pmitu Building Converlay 🚀
Helping Shopify merchants recover conversion data lost to ad blockers and browser privacy updates.
Still early, still learning, improving every day.

I’m actively working on Converlay to make server-side tracking easier for Shopify merchants.
Less setup.
Less confusion.
More reliable data.
Still a lot to improve, but we’re moving in the right direction.
